Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)

Fennel-Sweet, Pure Essential Oil of (Foeniculum vulgare):
Fennel has an earthy, sweet and spicy aroma, similar to Anise. It is a powerful diuretic and detoxifier, draining tissues of excess fluids and toxins. Its anti-inflammatory and toning properties help tighten and strengthen the elasticity of connective tissues and skin.

Flavonoids
A group of compounds widely distributed in plants which have a characteristic molecular structure. They have been found to have many beneficial activities, such as anti-inflammatory and anti-carcinogenic properties.

Flax Seed Oil, Organic (Linum usitatissimum):
Flax Seed oil is an important source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) an Omega-3 series of essential fatty acids. ALA is the precursor to EPA and the series 3 Prostaglandins, which are critical hormones regulating cellular activity. PGE 3’s protect the body against the deleterious effects of high blood pressure, sticky platelets, inflammation, water retention, and lowered immune function. The use of Flax Seed oil externally allows the body to absorb some of the EFA and it helps soften and heal skin abrasions. This is particularly useful oil for those suffering from skin problems and it is useful for preventing scarring and stretch marks.

Floral Wax:
A floral wax is an aromatic substance produced by introduction of a solvent to the plant material. To produce rose wax for example, roses are soaked in solvents to remove their color, fats, and waxes. Once that is done the solvent is removed, along with the spent plant material, leaving behind an aromatic “concrete.” The concrete is later treated to separate the solids from the liquids. The liquid is called rose absolute and the solid left behind is called rose wax. We use Tuberose, Jasmine, Mimosa, Rose and Neroli Waxes to give our natural skin care products the true fragrance and essence of these fragrant oils.

Foraha/Tamanu Oil, Organic ( Calophyllum inophyllum):
With its high content of EFA, Foraha Oil is used for skin softening, moisturizing. It has regenerative and antiseptic properties. This beautiful opalescent cold pressed green, slightly waxy oil is rich and thick, with a delicate nutty or spicy smell. In skin care and cosmetic preparations it stimulates cell regeneration and is good for fragile or broken capillaries. Foraha is a traditional medicine in the South Pacific, where it is used for its analgesic, anti-inflammatory and cicatrizant properties. Formerly, foraha was used to treat leprosy. It helps wounds to heal and is soothing for eczema and skin irritations such as burns, rashes and insect bites. It is used as an aid for relieving pain, healing wounds, herpes lesions and post-surgical scars. The Tamanu plant contains many chemical components which have proven to be helpful in the restoration and regeneration of skin tissue. The chief proponents are calophylloloids and upon saponification, calophyllic acid. It also contains significant levels of benzoic and oxi-benzoic acids.

Fractionated Coconut Oil (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride):
This is oil is very light, colorless, odorless liquid fraction of regular coconut oil often preferred by massage therapists because of its non greasy feel and non-staining character.

Frankincense, Pure Essential Oil of (Boswellia carteri):
As one of history’s most famous and influential precious oils, Frankincense pure essential oil lives up to its reputation. When added to skin care and cosmetic preparations, Frankincense encourages and stimulates cell regeneration, and tones and revitalizes tired, aging skin. It is also an anti-inflammatory and astringent.

Free Radicals
Free radicals are highly reactive molecules in the body which can destroy tissues by oxidizing cell membrane lipids and damaging DNA, the body's genetic material. Free radicals are produced through the body's normal process of metabolizing the air we breath and the food we eat, as well as exposure to tobacco smoke, excess sunlight and environmental pollutants. Antioxidants work in the body by neutralizing free radicals before they can do significant harm.

Fruit Acid Extracts:
Pineapple, grapefruit, passion fruit and lime are among the most aggressive fruit acids. Fruit acids have caused a sensation recently as anti-wrinkle active ingredients. They loosen the intercellular 'glue', allowing new cells to come through more rapidly and stimulate the formation of collagen and elastin. The visible effect is a skin which looks fresher and younger.

Furfuryladenine (Kinerase):
A natural plant growth factor that retards the aging process in plants. It is marketed as a natural evolution of antiaging treatment with similar effects in vitro on human skin cells as that in plants, helping to slow and reverse alterations that naturally occur in the cell-aging process.
