These are just a few of the many cosmetic surgical procedures available to make a dramatic change in the way you look.
Submental Lipectomy
Submental Lipectomy, or chin and neck fat excision, is a re-contouring procedure preformed to reduce the excess fat that often accumulates as a result of aging skin between the neck and chin. During this procedure, the excess fat is removed by excision or by suction and the underlying neck muscles are tightened. This enhancement procedure results in smoother, firmer skin for a more youthful appearance.
Facelift
Facelift surgery, technically referred to as rhytidectomy, is a re-contouring procedure performed to reduce the visible signs often caused by age and gravity. This procedure is accomplished by removing excess fat that has formed, tightening the underlying muscles, and finally re-draping the skin of the face and neck. A facelift can be completed alone but is commonly performed along with a forehead lift, and or blepharoplasty.
Forehead Lift
A forehead lift, also known as a browlift , is a surgical procedure commonly performed to reduce frown lines and to raise the upper eyelids, resulting in a smoother more youthful appearance to the treated area. By using the aid of an endoscope, the surgeon is able to complete this procedure with minimal incisions.
Facial Implants
Facial contours can be enhanced with the aid of facial implants. These implants may be used to help strengthen a jawline or to bring the chin or cheekbones into balance with the rest of the face. Plastic surgeons will frequently use such implants to bring better balance to the features of a younger patient, or a more mature patient may choose to have an implant placed in conjunction with another cosmetic procedure.
Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty, or eyelid surgery, is a surgical procedure performed to reduce the puffiness below the eyes, decrease the wrinkles formed around the eyelids, and to correct the drooping of the upper lids. As well as enhancing the appearance of the individual, in some cases, this surgery may also aid in providing a form of function. In extreme cases patients may find their sight has become impaired due to the drooping of the upper lids. In such cases, surgery is very beneficial to the individual allowing for full vision to be restored.
