For your facial skin care guide and regimen you should follow these basic steps on a daily basis. When you choose products to use for your basic facial care stick with them for at least a minimum of 30 days. The ideal period is 90 days to allow them to work, in particular herbal based products, no matter what claims the manufacturer may insinuate of quick results. Herbs are powerful healers but they work slowly over time with consistency of use. I think you are most likely not looking for a quick fix but long term sustainable results. Don't stop using the products unless something severe happens. If you already have a serious problem and start using new facial care products some of the time it can get worse before it gets better. Try not to use products by different manufacturers at the same time, this will allow you to have a better indicator of what works and from what company. Be consistent, follow the same skin care routine every day, don't give up because the results are worth the effort.

Other important variables that may impact results from your facial skin care routine are, and these are not in any specific order, current health and medications, exercise habits, are you taking adequate vitamins and supplements, water and nutrient intake, eating habits, skin care routine consistency, genes and family traits, state of your body's cleansing organs i.e. liver and kidneys, social habits i.e. smoking and drinking, sleeping habits, environment, stress and mental state, allergies, sun exposure and using tanning beds, hair care habits (clean hair helps your skin too), and hormones. There may be other items we can add to the list but as you can see from these everything we are and do can impact our skin.

Every morning:
Cleanse your skin with a natural facial care product and make sure the product matches your skin type. Rinse with water 5-10 times after cleansing, pat it gently dry. The more you rinse the better for your skin. Tone your skin to neutralize it so it will accept all other facial care products and to enhance the texture.

Use a moisturizing product to nourish, firm and minimize dull looking skin and lines. Sun block protection should be an ingredient in your daily moisturizer. Take the time to really massage your moisturizer into your skin. Just laying it on the surface is not as effective as massaging it in until it is completely absorbed into the skin.

Every evening:
An important facial care step is to remove your makeup thoroughly with a compatible skin-type natural facial care product and follow with a toner.

Use a hydrating moisturizing cream to nourish and improve the condition of damaged and aged surface cells during your sleep. Be careful not be apply too much because your skin likes to breath during sleep. Nourish the delicate skin around the eyes with a good facial care eye cream.

Weekly:
Exfoliating the skin after cleansing leaves the skin cleaner and more receptive to absorb moisture and increases the benefit to be gained from using a treatment. This should be done once or twice weekly depending on your skin type.

To achieve optimum skin care results you should treat yourself to a face masque and steam suited to your skin type at least once a week or more often for some skin types. This can also be complemented by using other treatments on a weekly basis.
