For the novice internet user: All menu items and buttons are links to products, pages or other information, you have to click on them to move around the site. In all our web pages links and menu items text have color (not black) and some are underlined another indication that you can click it. Usually when you move your mouse over a link the cursor changes to a hand or some other icon (depends on your mouse settings) that indicates you can click it. Scroll to the bottom of the page to see all the information it contains, what you see in your view is not always all that a web page contains. Use the page down and page up buttons on your keyboard to view an entire webpage or use the scroll wheel on your mouse to move up and down the page.

If you have a problem seeing the ingredients after you click on a link in product details check to see if your browser is blocking pop-ups. Go to Tools on your browser menu then select Internet Options, click on the Privacy tab, un-check the Block Pop-Ups box, click apply then click ok. Close and restart your browser. If you use a third party toolbar (Google, AOL, Yahoo, etc) they can also interfere with certain site functions, check that it is not blocking pop-ups while on our site. Store Pages - Shopping Cart - Session Cookies

Our shopping cart software use session cookies to track your cart additions and deletions, no personal identifiable information is contained in the cookie. If you have a problem adding/removing items or the cart retaining items please verify that session cookies are enabled in your browser. Go to tools on your browser menu, click Internet Options, click the Privacy tab then click the Advanced button you will see the dialog box above. Click Override automatic cookie handling and always allow session cookies. Click ok and then apply; click ok again, close and restart your browser.

By default per our hosting company a session in Windows server is only 20 minutes. What this means is if you add items to the cart and do not interact with it for more than 20 minutes and then click view cart your shopping cart will be empty and you will have an error message regarding session cookies. This information applies to IE (Internet Explorer only).

Store Pages - Shopping Cart Functions

Cart General: When an item is added to the cart the Product # is a link so you can view that item.

Changing Item Quantity: If you want two or more of an item after you have added it to the cart input the desired number in the quantity box and click the Update Cart Total Button.

Discounts/Coupon Codes: If you have a coupon or discount code offer enter the code in the Discount Code box and click the Deduct Discount button directly beneath it.

Save Cart: Your shopping cart can be saved for later processing but you must log-in (existing customer) or create an account (new customer) because the software has to know for whom it's saving a cart. No credit card data is required to save a cart. The email address and password (you provided during account set-up) is used to log-in and continue shopping or checkout with the saved cart. We will retain saved orders for a maximum of 7 business days before they are deleted from our database.

Check-Out/Account Set-up: In order to check out you must create an account (new customers only), which is simply your billing/shipping name and address and your preferred payment method (Credit Card or PayPal). Existing customers can simply log-in; click on the Forget Your Password? link if you need the system to send your password. The system only ask for credit card data if you have selected credit card as your preferred payment method during an actual checkout. All account information and check-out pages are secure.

Note: You can checkout without an account however you will not be able to log-in later to check order status or view/print your order

Email: If you do not provide an accurate email address when you set-up your account you will not receive your order confirmation or order shipping/tracking information. If you have provided us with accurate information and still have not received these automatic emails after placing an order please check your spam filters and junk mail folders before contacting us. You can also add orderdesk@herballuxuries.com and sales@herballuxuries.com to your safe senders list to eliminate this problem.

During account set-up you have the option to opt-out and not receive any none order related emails from Herbal Luxuries for sales, newsletters or promotions and we honor those request.

Secure Shopping: All account information requested during the checkout process is entered on secure web pages using the latest 256 bit encryption technology. Unlike some on-line stores WE DO NOT RE-DIRECT YOU TO ANOTHER WEBSITE DURING THE CHECK OUT PROCESS. If you are really concerned about how secure your credit card data is when shopping online pay attention to the URL (s) that is shown in the address bar as you check out. If it no longer begins with the site you were on; i.e. https://www.herballuxuries.com....... then you have been redirected and your credit card data is in some other sites database. Secure web pages always begin with https: however that along is no indication that your data is secure. Always look for the gold lock at the bottom of IE (Internet Explorer) pages with no warning symbols (warnings are usually indicated with a red icon next to the gold lock).

Some sites will have https at the beginning of the URL on their checkout page but IE (Internet Explorer) does not show the lock and that means there is a problem and my advise is do not enter your credit card data on such pages, if you really want the items place the order by phone. To verify that a site actually has a valid security certificate open Internet Explorer, go to Tools on the menu, then Internet Options, click the Advanced Tab; scroll to the bottom section of options and check the following; warn about invalid site certificates and also check for server certificate revocation. These two options will tell you if a site is legitimately secure.

Herbal Luxuries does not store credit card data, it is automatically removed after your credit card has been authorized. If we have a problem with your credit card authorization an email is sent explaining the issue and how to resolve it, we normally wait at least 24 hours for a reply. If we get no reply your order is cancelled so we can remove your credit card data from our system. You can place your order again on-line or via phone using a different credit card. Do not ever send your credit card data to anyone via email. Email is not secure.

Our store pages have many links to access our skin care products but the fastest way to find them is using the store index which is accessed by clicking Store Index on the top menu (runs horizontal across all our pages). The index has several pages and all products are listed by category in alphabetical order, you can also add or remove items from the shopping cart and view product details from here. At the top and bottom of the index listing is navigation to jump to other pages and a link to view your cart. Your browser must not be blocking pop-ups to use the index.

Herbal Luxuries site has two different search tools. The search tool on our core site pages (non-store) does not include our products database and only searches our core site information pages.

If you want to search for products use the search box at the top of store pages only. The header images above will help you identify what type of page you are on while visiting our site. We suggest using the store index as explained above to locate products quickly because search can be very broad and return many results.

For example, a search in our store for products with Aloe Vera will return many results since 90% of our products contain Aloe Vera. Please keep this in mind when using the search function on our site whether in the store or on our core site pages.
